Cold War Jets Bruntingthorpe
29 May 2016
The first of the twice yearly Cold War Jets events was held at Bruntingthorpe on the May Bank Holiday weekend. The UK's weather lived up to the usual pattern of grey skies all day and brilliant sunshine after the event finished but at least the rain held off.
Unfortunate this time was the non-appearance of Nimrod which suffered a technical failure on the day, but all other booked aircraft undertook the usual mix of slow and fast taxy runs.
Interspersed between the runs during the day, the Large Model Association flew some of their aircraft, which once in the air, were difficult to tell from the real thing.
